The Income Auditor is responsible for auditing and verifying the hotel’s daily revenue transactions, ensuring that all income from rooms, food and beverage, and other operating departments is accurately recorded, properly supported, and compliant with hotel policies and internal controls. The role includes preparing daily revenue reports, reconciling payments, reviewing adjustments and discounts, investigating discrepancies, and supporting month-end closing activities.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
• Audit and verify daily revenue from all hotel operating departments, including Rooms, Food & Beverage, Spa, Laundry, Telephone, Banquets, and other revenue centers.
• Review the Night Auditor’s reports and ensure all daily transactions are properly recorded and supported.
• Reconcile daily cash, credit card, city ledger, guest ledger, and advance deposit transactions.
• Verify room revenue, room rates, discounts, complimentary rooms, house-use rooms, rebates, refunds, and allowances.
• Check all Food & Beverage revenue reports, POS summaries, voids, discounts, officer checks, entertainment checks, and complimentary checks.
• Ensure that all revenue adjustments, rebates, paid-outs, and corrections are properly authorized and documented.
• Reconcile credit card settlements with the payment gateway, bank reports, and PMS/POS postings.
• Investigate and report any revenue discrepancies, missing checks, unusual transactions, or policy violations.
• Ensure that all cashier reports are complete, accurate, and properly supported by receipts and payment documentation.
• Review guest folios, invoices, banquet checks, and outlet checks for accuracy and completeness.
• Monitor compliance with hotel financial policies, internal controls, and standard operating procedures.
• Coordinate with Front Office, Food & Beverage, Reservations, Sales, and other departments to resolve revenue-related issues.
• Maintain organized records of audit reports, supporting documents, and revenue files for internal and external audit purposes.
• Assist with internal and external audit requirements related to hotel revenue.
• Report suspected fraud, revenue leakage, or control weaknesses to the Chief Accountant or Finance Director.
• Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:
• Candidates should have a degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Hospitality Management, Business Administration or a related field, with previous experience in hotel accounting, income auditing, night auditing, or a similar finance role.
• Experience in the hospitality industry is preferred. The candidate must have good knowledge of hotel revenue operations, daily audit procedures, cashier balancing, credit card reconciliation, and internal controls. Familiarity with hotel PMS/POS systems such as Opera, Micros, Simphony, Theova or similar systems is an advantage.
• Strong Excel skills, attention to detail, analytical ability, integrity, and good communication skills are essential.
